Regional Competency-Based Core Curriculum Training
FCADV would like to invite Florida's domestic violence advocates to attend the Regional Competency-Based Core Curriculum Training scheduled for November. This training is for domestic violence advocates employed or volunteering at one of Florida's 42 certified domestic violence centers only. The training will be held in Orlando, FL. No registration fee will be charged for this training. Travel scholarships are available.

Rural Resource Center for Social Justice Southeast Regional Training Institute
FCADV's Rural Resource Center For Social Justice is a technical assistance project that serves the Southeast regional grant recipients of STOP Violence Against Women Formula grant recipients from the following geographical areas: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. On September 25-26, FCADV will host a regional training institute at the Bay Point Marriott Resort in Panama City. This regional training will provide workshops on Creating and Managing Financially Sustainable Programs, Providing Services to the Migrant Farm worker Community and Creating a Coordinated Response to Domestic Violence in Rural Communities. Additional topics TBD. Scholarships are available.

NNEDV 2008 National Census: Will You Count?
On September 17, 2008, local domestic violence programs across the United States will count the number of people they serve during one 24-hour period. Will you count?
